Excellent price, all parts and upgrades included in first shipment. Assembly and set up instructions VERY POOR. Had to watch YouTube videos to figure it out.

Wow I am impressed this shipped fast and arrived in perfect condition. I had trouble at first locating the upgrade parts I ordered but after searching the net for the images to match I noticed it was easier than I made it out to be.

Very impressed and cant wait to get her built and running some prints.

It's a pretty nice printer though plan on spending some time tweaking and upgrading it. Took about 6 hours total to assemble it for me. It will be up and running out of the box but plan on using the PLA that ships with it to print some new parts asap; I found the Z axis motor mount to be the best first upgrade for it. It seems like a lot of the included acrylic parts are designed a little on the sloppy side; I can only assume to make it harder for people to overdo it and break the part, but it does mean everything just seems a bit more wiggly than it could be out of the box.



It takes about a week to ship and it was actually shipped with decent UPS 5-day which isn't too bad from China to Michigan.

In my opinion the TT ist the best printer to learn. By the time you get the Tarantula to the point where you get the best out of it, you probably know as much about 3d printing as any engineer who designs 3d printers.

Ordered on Jan 7th, arrived in 2 Weeks to France, needed 6 hours for mounting, numerous youtube videos on this model helped adjusting the details.

First - I sent them an email about a price match, and they responded THE SAME DAY! Didn't get the price match, due to huge shipping costs on the other site, but the fact that they looked it up and got back to me so fast was outstanding!

Shipping got held up for several days, but I think that was UPS's fault, as the package seemed to be at a UPS facility.



The product was exactly as advertised, very well packed, and worked as soon as I got it set up. Setup took forever because this was my first machine, and I didn't really understand what everything did, but the Facebook community for the Tarantula was extremely helpful. I probably spent about 12 hours total on setup. Printing quality is very good, and time seems on par with others.

Between price matching and quick responses, 3dPrintersBay has now become my first choice for printers in the future.

This machine is hands down the single best off-brand machine you can get your hands on. When I first received the printer I was pleased with the way it was packaged with everything packed safely. But with a very basic understanding of how a 3D printer works and with minimal experience in putting things like this together, I got it fully assembled within roughly 15 hours of non-stop assembly. Then came the troubleshooting which was another 7-10 straight hours of work, but as soon as all of the problems were tweaked out, this machine PRINTS. First print I had had some z travel issues due to the z travel rods not being smooth enough, but with some lubricant the first elephant test print was flawless; absolutely stunning. If you're looking for an inexpensive 3D printer, with reliable dual extrusion, a heated bed, and a decent build volume with the building of the machine being apart of the learning experience, I can't find a better machine for you!

A great kit if you are willing to spend time tinkering. Just using the printer can be a hobby in itself, and while it's super rewarding when you get it working properly, it can also be super frustrating if you don't know anything about gcode or updating firmware.



The kit itself is legit good, while the assembly manual stops about 60% in. But the YouTube and Facebook communities have that covered.



Overall, I am happy with it as my first 3d printer experience. It's taught me the basics of firmware and gcode, while also producing great quality prints for the price point.

The purchase experience was excellent. I also did extensive research between the tarantula and the cr-10. Because of the build kit feature and the cost ( less than the cr-10 even with the dual extruder and dual z upgrades) I decided on the tarantula. My kit arrived in six days - a day earlier than estimated.

I would recommend this kit AND 3D printers bay to anyone interested in getting into 3D printing. It's been a fun and educational experience. 5 stars all around!
