After much research I had narrowed it down to 2 printers this one and the CR-10, after speaking with multiple vendors I decided that I would go with the Tarantula with the larger bed due to availability and price, also I could experience building one. I was really impressed with 3d printer bay's customer service and decided to only buy from them. The printer arrived 2 weeks after my order (my fault I had mis-typed my zip code and they had to fix it which delayed the shipment, still impressive customer service). When it arrived I started my build following the new manual, much better then to old one. It took me about 10 hours to get the printer assembled and a print working.



Pros: Great price, lots of good parts, expandable, open source design, decent out of box print quality, and easy to fix all of it's issues.



Cons: Slow print speeds out of box, wobbly frame, wiring is a mess, no power off switch, brittle and weak acrylic parts, no parts fan cooler included.

The Tevo Tarantula came in great and on time! Had nothing missing from the box and no pieces were broken.

The kit shipped about 4 business days after I purchased it, and 2 days after that I had the tevo tarantula at my door. I was expecting at least 2 weeks before I would receive my shipment, so I was very pleased with how quickly it was shipped. Everything arrived undamaged, and there were quite a few extra nuts and bolts in case you lose some, so that was nice to know. After building it, the printer worked amazingly right out of the box, and even better with a few small adjustments. I am very happy with my decision to purchase this printer from 3d printer's bay.

Solid printer. The Assembly manual isn't exactly amazing but the engineering behind the printer is. Prints as well as you can set it up. Careful with assembly, don't rush it, make it perfect, it pays in dividend once you start printing.

Great 3d Printer. The Tarantula is my first foray in to the world of 3D printing and I love it. My first prints have been surprisingly fantastic in quality compared to some of the other first prints I've seen online. Thanks.

Ordering process was smooth as butter. Order shipped on the day they said it would. Courier was DHL and package arrived within 4 days from shipping (South Africa). The printer is of reasonable quality for the money you pay. With PLA I have made great prints. But with PETG I needed to make a few modifications such as a Firmware upgrade and frame stiffening mods. HOWEVER, you do not need to make these modifications if you do not want to. All and all a very good shopping experience, and I am very pleased with the product.

This is a very good printer - especially for the price. The kit shipped and was delivered much sooner that I was expecting!

Definitely would be a 5 star rating if not for the build instructions.



Tevo makes a great attempt at kitting the hardware for each particular step but the directions are still woefully inadequate. I'm a mechanical engineer and I still had to disassemble several parts to get them to put together correctly. Tevo would do itself a favor and they got their assembly instructions to the same level as IKEA or LEGO with each step and subassembly drawn out.

Excellent vendor and product. Really liked being able to order in US dollars vs the other manufacturer sites. Arrived with no customs fees or duty to pay. Good communication as far as tracking once it shipped. The Tarantula is a great printer. Just follow the web videos online to install and the Facebook page.

Ordered the tevo tarantula and I am very impressed with its quality and value. The instructions are somewhat vague , but the community of tevo owners have information on the build and things that you can print to improve the printer itself. It's worth the price if you are into building things and like a challenge.

Haven't finished assembly, but so far super impressed that you get so much for less than $200. Well packaged and looks to be quality. Looking forward to joining the maker community.

I found this printer to work very well. The Assembly took longer than expected and some of the instructions where a little unclear but with a little elbow grease and lots of YouTube videos I got is assembled and I am very pleased with my purchase everything was very well packaged and everything was there.

I have such mixed emotions about this printer. I have several printers, I've been a hobbyist for a couple of years now and this is not my first build. I refused to use any other sources than what the printer came with (so no YouTube or google searches on assembly)



Pros:

- It's cheap

- For a $200 printer, you get a stable bed, solid extruder and hot-end

- There's plenty of people out there with one



Cons:

- The directions could be improved. You CANNOT assemble this printer following the directions alone, you'll end up with a mess. (Watch Arcad Youtube)

I was very excited to get my printer in just two and a half weeks in South Africa, building took me a few hours and it printed 100% right out of the box. I printed some upgrades to improve print quality, and I am discovering new ways all the time to make it print even better. Thanks for a great product.

Very awesome printer. Took a couple of weeks to arrive and all parts are there. Put it together and it works like a charm. I would recommend this printer.
