My 10 yr old daughter and I put this kit together in the evenings over the course of a week. We calibrated and printed on the weekend. I bought the kit with linear rails and had parts for the non linear as well. Some of the linear manual part call outs didn't work for the liner rails but with the extra fasteners supplied we got it together! I am a Linux user and was able to get all the software I needed on line for Ubuntu 17.10 to run the printer. YouTube video was a great help but more was needed for calibration and installing the horned for the extruder. All in all a great little printer for the price and breaking into the 3d printer experience. Note bought metric Allen wrenches from Harbor Freight with the ball end like shown in the video and able to assemble and tighten all the fasteners easily. Also purchased a 110V cord with ground wire (E) for extra protection to the power supply. The kit for 110V had a two wire cord for L and N only.

Great printer at a great price! The provided video instructions were clear and helpful. Drivers automatically install on Windows 10, which is nice. After carefully leveling my printing bed, editing some z-axis values in Arduino code, and experimenting with settings in Slic3r, I was quickly able to make high-quality 3d-printed items. I could not figure out how to wire the provided two-prong plug to the power supply; instead, I used my own three-prong plug, and followed an online tutorial to correctly wire it up.

I got my printer with linear rails and a heated bed; I do not know how that compares to using basic bearings and a non-heated bed, but in any case, my particular configuration works with zero issues.

With proper assembly, it is by far the best cheap 3D delta type printer on the market, with an e3d hot-end you can print any kind of material. If you add a heated bed, as I did, you get a great printer for little money. On overall it's reliable cheap machine to run

It's a great kit, but there are areas that could use some effort to make it a great machine. Initial set up and adjustment can be tricky depending on the user experience level

The printer itself is great for the price. I would highly recommend getting the upgraded linear version. As for the building process, it is fairly easy to assemble, however as mentioned in the previous reviews the Chinese to English translations are a little rough, and some bags were mislabeled. A few things I would print pretty quickly off the bat are a stand to hold the power supply, and a spool to hold the filament. Also, I would suggest ordering a few extra heat elements as they seem to go bad, and a glass bed. With that said, I will buy again in a heart beat!

I bought this printer to be a summer project of my son. He spent about 2-3 hours per day and finished the build in one week. FLSUN did provide the documents for build and basic operation. We are new to the 3D printer and we did lear a lot from the build. Within the one and half months of usages, the limit switch for auto level was dead and the fisheyes were loose twice on one of the push pods. I contacted FLSUN and got replaced parts about 10 days. Later on, my hot end got jammed on the cold end. I tried to fix it and failed. I contacted FLSUN and they sent me a new hot end right away. The output of print quality is not stable due to the changes of hot end, print bed (blue tape, glass and PEI sheet) and filaments. But I am learning and my print is getting better. If you like DIY and are willing to learn, this one will be good for the beginner. Their support is great (but you need a little patient for the time zone difference and language).

Everything went as ordered. Extremely pleased with the order. Small miner issues with the ribbon cables to short to mount the motherboard with acrylic box anywhere but under the printer. But it's to big to fit. So I made a stand with a hole cut in the middle for the psu and mb... Not pretty but works. Over all I would buy from 3dprintersbay again and the printer for the price is a good buy.

Bought it knowing it would be a 'science project' and it was all that and some!!! Got it working by just following the assembly instructions (with some common sense) and user manual - no problems or broken/missing parts. All-in-all a great value 3D unit. First prints show that it needs fine-tuned but printed parts are good and can only get better...

Go for the optional linear guides, hot bed and power supply - these really make it a turn-key kit.

The printer itself is great, better than I thought it would be for the price. The instructions (PDF format, on the SD card) could use a lot of work. Aside from standard misspellings and grammar issues, some later steps have screws misidentified and some steps are left to the imagination. I'd recommend watching the YouTube videos. I only skimmed them while waiting for shipping.

Nothing in box to indicate i'd find assemble directions on SD. Built it all the way to calibration, looking at older models on internet, some for my model, before I found a site that mentioned manual on SD for his, so much on SD… wish I'd of known

add a note in box to find SD with manual.

I got it together, the directions was a check over my build.

once satisfied I had everything connected I plugged it in, checked out ok! leaving just calibration. Plate level, a bit tedious, turning bed screw just a little means a lot

The machine works, kit is challenging but forgiving. I enjoyed the build, not the performance/quality which is adequate for the person wanting to learn 3d delta equipment…

Kit provided resources and directions for so much stuff, I know more than I expected to learn.

Pay extra for newer guides & heated bed.

Great kit and good instructional video. There are a few things that could be improved in the assembly and English translations but these are easy to work around or you can gain clarification of details through the great customer service.

I’ve had time w/my printer. It prints good & even better after tweaked. It’s not high end but can be upgraded easily. 3D Printers Bay was great. Shipping was fast & FLSun packaged it well. For ABS I suggest putting Cork under the heated bed to improve temps & protect electronics from heat. Firmware uses an older version of marlin. I’d suggest FLSun update that but it does work. You can get new firmware online. For upgrades like a proximity sensor you will need to. Linear rail version has a flaw in the assembly instructions. The rails are to high which causes the print radius to shrink. You fix that by lowering the rails but will loose print height. It’s a trade off. The pulley version does not have this issue. Firmware for the linear rail has the delta calculations a little off. I think FLSun overlooked the changes from pulleys to linear rails but its a very easy fix. The pulley version firmware looks good if anyone is curious. I'd buy this printer again from this store.

This is an awesome printer! It was fairly easy to put together (and a lot of fun!), and I was printing out the test cube within 30 minutes of finishing. There were a couple of pieces that I had to drill out for a better/easier fit, and you have to follow the instructions carefully, but overall, I love this printer! I'm using TinkerCad to design parts, and it exports STL files, which the included software (Repetier-Host) slices and prints.

I've made several keychain trinkets, a luggage tag, a part to repair a cabinet, and a ton of other pieces. The price quoted (with the heated bed) is all you need. I can't say enough good things about the printer, and the company (3dPrintersBay) has tremendous customer service too. 5 stars!

Very fast shipping, and a great printer value. The documentation was reasonably clear, and even files to print replacement parts are included. Assembly is not too difficult, and calibration was remarkably easy. Take your time, and you'll be printing high quality results within a day or two of receiving your kit. All in all, very satisfied.
