A smooth transaction and quick shipping made for a great start into 3D printing. My 10 year old daughter did 90% of the assembly, with supervision and guidance of course. So pretty easy to build. Much of the included software was corrupted but easily obtained from the web. We haven't printed yet but don't expect any issues. Only 2 problems I've encountered were missing instructions for the included auto level installmemt, which I eventually found on the web. And an lcd display that flakes out and requires a reset of the control board to correct which I still need to contact the seller about. But so far I would highly recommend 3D Printers Bay to anyone looking to try a 3D DIY build.

This is my first 3D printer, and I have been using it since October 2016. My first print with it was just a test, but it printed perfectly! I think the Anet A8 is the best starter value 3D printer available! At this time, I am still going through a learning curve of the 3D printing process as a whole, but I am really enjoying it, and getting better with all of the nuances. Great printer and Great support!!! Thank you.

Great expierence putting this thing together. Took me about 5 hours to build without having any expierence with 3D kits. Then immidiatly printed an calibration cube which came out pretty good for the first print and with the basic settings on Cura. Next is testing different settings to get the best results.

Overall very happy with my Anet A6!

I love the printer and the .0039" resolution is amazing.

1. Two motors drive the Z axis. Take care to make the carriages equal height from base to ensure that machine will not chatter/bind during operation. As well this keeps X level left to right.

2. Use PLA, masking tape on table and ensure you have table level to nozzle.

Load filament when nozzle is HOT. This can be a hit or miss on hitting opening. It took me quite a few tries. One in a hundred sites mention why leveling important. Leveling is important for a uniform FIRST layer on the table. This relates to project adhering to table during build. Nozzle too close you smear plastic coming from nozzle. Nozzle to far will lay a stream in open air that essentially falls to table inaccurately.

3. The printer is looking for .gcode files that come as an output from CURA software. Take your "stl" files there first.

I received this printer 2 weeks after I ordered it. This printer was very easy to put together. This is my first 3D printer to assemble although I have built 2 CNC machines in the past. The concept of XYZ Axis are the same so it made it easier to build. easier to build. The videos were helpful and it went together in about 6 hours. It prints AMAZING.

Great Buy for the Money!!!

Printer came in today (January 9th), ordered on December the 20th. Overall it is a great experience to put this together. With both of the Youtube videos, and the PDF's it wasn't too difficult. It came with all the necessary tools needed, plus a small bit of filament.

Not a really good reviewer but it's honestly AMAZING. Took about 2 weeks for some reason but when I recieved it it took me about 18 hours to build it and edit it to working perfection (I'm such a noob lol). Very good for the price if ya ask me and tbh it's a really good printer.

This is my first 3D printer. The DIY kit took 8 hours to build. I took my time and watched both the Youtube videos and the PDF instructions that came with the printer. There were a couple discrepancies. The X axis limit switch installation was not in the PDF. The threaded lead rods do not need to be threaded through the tops holes on the frame. The auto-level sensor that I added to my order was not mentioned in the PDF as well. All my problems were solved with Youtube videos and the ANET A8 Support Facebook Group. The community for this printer on Facebook is great for troubleshooting any issue with initial install and post-install tuning. One issue I had was that one of the Z stepper motors was not getting enough power to move the extruder assembly upwards. I needed to tune the potentiometer on the main circuit board to increase the power to the Z stepper motor. After that I was in business. This kit is a great learning experience to learn about all the parts and their function.

arrived in about 10 days. Fedex collected duty and tax for the damb govt. added $40 to the cost but not Anet's fault.

this printer is amazing, took about 6 easy hours to assemble. only very minor filling needed to be done to make some acrylic parts fit together. the auto leveling sensor is unneeded & a wast of time &money. but maybe its faulty, anyway I just ajust the level useing paper as a feeler gadge. only need to reajust it if I open the extuder.

Printing part #95 at this moment. So far all prints r great except the few fails caused by my inexperience,( base adhesion let go) This is a great printer at a great price! too bad its out of stock at the moment or I would order another one now.

First kit 3D printer with auto-leveling. After a few errors with the rear sensor mount I printed a new mount and mounted the original sensor at the front. Loaded SkyNet 3D v2 and I was off to the races. Thanks for your prompt shipping.

Well.. Just buy the damn printer, it's simple, cheap, and prints quality items like every other expensive printer out there. Takes a few prints to get to know it better. And maybe a glass plate for better adhesion, other than that very happy with it :D

.. has arrived in Athens, Greece fairly quick without any problem, delivered to my door. This is my second DIY Kit which I consider better than my first DIY from another manufacturer ( .. acrylic parts were badly cut thus impossible to maintain 90 degree angles .. so I needed additional work & tricks to achieve as good as possible frame structure; also, round rail shafts were poor quality.. and many more .. and disappointing).

Because of Christmas time my Anet8 baby assembling is postponed; I'll be back later with my final opinion
