I have a new printer (Formbot T-Rex 2+) and it's been printing great!

I'm getting very nice layers and excellent consistency.

Got my T-Rex 2+ from 3DPrintersBay. Very pleased with the service.

Very happy with this printer. It is my second printer. It seems well-built and is giving good results. It arrived reasonably quickly and in good shape. The assembly instructions were actually not bad, and I was able to get the test print out fairly quickly. The heated bed is very quick to heat. I am using Simplify3D with no problems so far. I had one problem because I over-tightened the X axis belt tension. The Formbot technical support responded quickly to help via email.

I purchase this printer with all of the bells and it has been GREAT!!! This is my second 3d printer and the service and prompt delivery of 3D Printers Bay has been first class. The printer was packed in an extremely tough box and every part of the printer was supported and padded. The 2 heads have been great and the bed leveling program is by far the best I have seen. It took me about an hour to put everything together. The prints are coming out GREAT!!!

Solid printer for those supersized models. I’m so happy to have my Formbot T-Rex 2+ with Keenovo running I got it all SSR dialed in found my feet and just started to experience the greatness of this printer

Looking forward in getting some prints here soon. I noticed your board is a custom ATmega board. Very nicely done by the way.

I am amazed with its excellent surface finish. love it I am currently using duplicate mode to pump out skull planter pots. T-Rex 2+ is possibly the best dual extruder system on the market currently and the build space is massive!! its truly one of a kind! love the t-rex 2+!!

I recently received a T-Rex 2+. Customer support has been great.I am going to add a glass bed and set it up the offset again and ready to get it printing full time.Overall, I'm really happy with this printer, as are my clients that need larger parts done.

I have had the 2+ running for about 4 days now and all I can say is WOW.. Very Happy with the purchase. Took only minimal fiddling to get it going and the community was a great help. Only gripe as per many is the need to set a timer on the bed heater. Hope an add on board comes soon to allow control through the Gcode. If not I have a few ideals for a after print kill that are more mechanical.

Other than this I love it. Its here at work and coworkers have been using it as well. All mechanical mockups drawn in solidworks and the resolution is great. They may order one soon and I can take mine home

you wont go wrong with it, I have 7 3d printers and this is now my favorite filament printer that I have. Its probably the BEST buy in 3d printers on the market

After a few weeks with it and getting use to how the IDEX works and the call commands for it I have to say Its a VERY NICE machine.

To start with it has manual bed levelers built onto it. I love this as I perfer to level my bed as much as possible by myself then let the UBL do the VERY little differences.

The UBL is a step up from mesh leveling, run it one time save it and it recalls the your bed points from eeprom.

No more doing a G29 before every print. And it seems to do a better job of keeping things level

The cleaning brushes really help to keep the hotends clean but to my suprice also help with keeping the parts clean especially when doing dual extrusion. (no globbing)

The IDEX is GREAT, didnt think about it when I ordered the printer but IDEX pretty much gets rid of the problem with having the other extruder leave globs of color all over your print from ozzing. I have not used a ooz shield yet and the parts are always clean the the colors are where they should be.

Another great feature of IDEX is once you get both nozzles level with each other and run your IDEX you no longer have the issue with your bed leveling not working for the second extruder because with IDEX each extruder is treated exactly the same on the axis after the offsets set. So you get a nice even layer from both extruders without alot of headache.

My Trex-2+ is 100% stock with the exception I put a sheet of PEI on my build plate.

I am using the included settings for S3D and they are working great.

I think that just by how the parts come off the printer (no globbing or color mixing) that IDX is the future of 3d printing and i'm glad I got a NICE printer with LARGE build volume to do it without breaking the bank.

IMHO, you cant go wrong. If its your first, second or either printer, you will love it...

Great printer. This was easy to assemble and works well so far. I've only had it setup for a week, but I'm quite happy with it to date.

Well I will start by saying it is my first printer. So take what I will say knowing I am not an expert.



As it is, the machine has been great so far. There are quirks here and there but having a basic level of programming knowledge, be mechanically inclined and tech savvy then there isn't much you can't get past. Where you are weak there is usually help here from the community.



The machine is built solidly and so far have produced a few great looking prints. While the machine is important for prints, the slicer settings are really where the icing on the cake comes from. The machine is really just what limits your settings and the Trex 2 has everything you need to make beautiful prints or quickly make less appealing but functional ones.

Easily the best large 3d printer I've encountered. Not budget, but great value for its price. Very versatile and expandable, with an active community and great support
