Cartographer3D Eddy Current Leveling Sensor
Bed leveling is one of the most common pain points in DIY 3D printer builds, and this kit tackles it head-on with a Cartographer3D eddy current sensor in place of a standard inductive probe. It reads bed mesh data without ever touching the plate, so there's no nozzle-to-bed contact wear and no probe deploy mechanism to jam mid-print.
Why it matters for your prints
Faster, more consistent first layers translate directly into fewer failed prints and less filament wasted on re-leveling. The eddy current sensor is especially useful for anyone running frequent bed swaps or multiple build surfaces, since remeshing takes seconds rather than minutes.
BTT Manta M8P + CB1 Mainboard with CANbus Wiring
At the heart of the electronics is the BTT Manta M8P V2.0 paired with a CB1 compute module, giving you an all-in-one Klipper-ready host and mainboard without needing a separate Raspberry Pi. Six TMC2209 stepper drivers handle quiet, precise motor control, and the toolhead connects over CANbus through an EBB SB2209 CAN (RP2040) board, cutting the wiring harness running through the gantry down to a single lightweight cable.
Cleaner wiring, more reliable motion
Fewer wires flexing in the drag chain means fewer intermittent connection failures over the life of the printer. A 3-in-6-out PCB module and Bakelite isolation columns round out the electronics bay for organized, serviceable cable management.
Stealthburner + CW2 Direct Drive Extruder
The Stealthburner toolhead houses a CW2 direct drive extruder for short, consistent filament paths that shine with flexible materials and high retraction speeds alike. Built-in Neopixel RGB lighting doubles as a print status indicator, so you can tell at a glance whether the printer is idle, heating, or mid-print from across the room.
Choice of All-Metal Hotends
Select the hotend that fits your filament plans: the High Flow TZ V6 2.0, Dragon Standard Flow, or Dragon High Flow. Each option is built around a titanium alloy heat break for reduced heat creep, a ceramic heater cartridge for stable temperature control, and a hardened steel nozzle with DLC coating that stands up to abrasive and glass- or carbon-filled filaments far longer than brass.
Built for demanding materials
With nozzle temperatures up to 300°C, this hotend lineup is equally comfortable running PLA for daily parts or pushing through PETG, ABS, ASA, and reinforced engineering filaments.
Full-Scale Silicone Heated Bed & Precision Cast Aluminum Plate
The bed assembly starts with a precision machined cast aluminum plate chosen for superb flatness across the entire print area. A full-scale silicone heating pad with an integrated thermal fuse heats the plate edge to edge, rather than concentrating heat in the center, which helps minimize warping on large ABS and ASA parts.
A genuine double-sided magnetic flexible PEI sheet sits on top, letting you flex the plate to pop finished parts free without a scraper. Bed temperatures up to 110°C cover the full range of common engineering filaments.
The 220V/650W silicone heater includes a built-in thermistor and thermal fuse rated to 125°C, adding a hardware-level safety cutoff on top of your firmware's thermal protection.
Aluminum Composite Deck Panel
The electronics deck panel uses an aluminum composite material specifically to resist warping from sustained heat exposure inside the enclosure, keeping mounted components seated flat and secure print after print.
Precision CoreXY Motion System
Every axis rides on premium MGN9H and MGN12H linear guide rails, individually quality-checked for smooth, low-friction travel. Motion is driven by genuine Gates belts across X, Y, and Z, engineered to resist stretching so your dimensional accuracy doesn't drift as hours on the printer add up.
Speed without sacrificing accuracy
With a rated max print speed of 250mm/s and max travel speed of 300mm/s, this motion system is tuned for high-speed Klipper input shaping profiles while keeping corners crisp and layer lines consistent.
Six MOONS' NEMA17 stepper motors handle the gantry and Z axis, backed by a MOONS' NEMA14 pancake motor with a 10-tooth gear for the extruder, chosen specifically for high torque output and resistance to heat buildup during long print sessions.
Smart Monitoring: Touchscreen, Camera & Status Lighting
A 5″ HDMI touchscreen gives you a responsive, tactile interface for starting prints, adjusting temperatures, and monitoring progress without tethering a laptop to the printer. A USB wide-angle camera lets you keep an eye on prints remotely through your Klipper front end, and RGB LED strips along the frame provide ambient lighting that also doubles as a visual status cue.
Nevermore Filtration for Cleaner Printing
An included Nevermore air filter housing with an activated carbon pack and fume extractor carbon filter element helps capture VOCs and odors when printing ABS, ASA, and other higher-temperature filaments – a meaningful upgrade if your printer lives in a shared workspace or bedroom.
Frame, Panels & Precision Fasteners
The frame is built from Misumi HFSB5-2020 aluminum extrusion in the lengths matched to your chosen build volume, joined with OpenBuilds billet angle corner connectors and finished with aluminum extrusion sealing strips for a clean look. Clear and black acrylic panels enclose the sides, top, back, and bottom to help maintain consistent chamber temperatures. Assembly hardware includes several hundred precision SHCS, BHCS, and FHCS bolts, hex nuts, T-nuts, and threaded inserts across M2, M3, M4, and M5 sizes, plus stainless steel fasteners for the toolhead and DLC-coated hard-wearing gears for the extruder drivetrain.
Electrical Safety & International Compatibility
Power comes from a Meanwell LRS-200-24 200W supply switched through an Omron G3NB-210B-1 solid-state relay on a DIN rail mount bracket, with filtered power inlets and mains-matched fuses (4A for 220V mains, 8A for 120V mains) to protect the electronics. A CAT6 Ethernet port and cable are included for a stable network connection to your Klipper host.
